President & CEO
Barlow Builders, LLC is a boutique design-build company specializing in luxury residential construction. Founded in 2006 by Austin Pennington, a third generation builder, he and his team have decades of combined experience.
Austin tirelessly pursues perfection while personally overseeing day-to-day operations. Austin and his team value and understand the importance of the clients’ needs and goals. They always provide a personalized and seamless building experience.

Jordan Clark
VP Of Operations
Jordan is a Vanderbilt Alum (’03) current NAHB board member, HBAT board member and Past President of the Home Builder’s Association of Middle Tennessee (2011). He currently chairs the legislative committee and is heavily involved in working with regulators on governmental policies and procedures. Jordan leads all land acquisition, entitlement, and development activities for the firm. Before coming to Barlow, Jordan led the land team at Pulte Homes and helped bring Tennessee its first Del Webb master planned community. Over his career, he has led the purchase, entitlements, and developments of over 12,000 commercial and residential lots in Middle Tennessee.

Bryan Soloman
CFO
Bryan Solomon, CPA, oversees all finance, tax, and compliance functions for the Barlow entities. His responsibilities include financial management, budgeting, and reporting. Prior to joining Barlow in 2020, Bryan was a Senior Manager in the Price Waterhouse Coopers LLP (PwC) Financial Services group. Bryan spent 10 years at PwC working with some of the world’s largest assets managers, development companies, European based banks, and single-family rental platforms. Born and raised in middle Tennessee, Bryan received his undergraduate from Furman University and a master’s degree from Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management.

John Crow
Land Development Manager
John Crow manages and oversees the essential development functions that bring Barlow’s projects to life. Acting as a vital bridge between the field and the office, his responsibilities include coordinating with engineers, city inspectors, and contractors to ensure the seamless execution of site infrastructure, utilities, landscaping, and amenity areas. Additionally, John supports land acquisition initiatives and strategic operations alongside Jordan. Prior to joining the Barlow team in 2025, he gained a year and a half of valuable hands-on land development experience with Goodall Homes. Born and raised in middle Tennessee, John holds a degree in Residential Construction Management from Middle Tennessee State University.
